The pandemic has unleashed a panoply of pronouncements from colleges and universities about the role of tests in college admissions. Most of those pronouncements have involved schools going “test-optional.” But what does that mean for students and families deciding whether or not to take standardized tests?
In the next installment in our College Admissions Literacy Series, we’ll be tackling this question with help from Jon Lee with Compass Education Group, a leading test prep and tutoring company. Jon has developed some specific insights into how a test-optional approach plays out in admissions decision-making, and he’ll be sharing those and more during this Zoom session.
We’ll also be offering insights into the different college approaches to tests (test optional, test flexible, and test blind), providing details on test requirements for college in a post-COVID admissions year, and mapping out this year’s college admissions landscape.
