LIVE with Colledge | Pomona
Turns out liberal arts majors aren’t exactly the impoverished grads they’re often made out to be.
According to a New York Times piece from last year, liberal arts majors earn less at first but over time, catch up to engineers and computer-science-types. One of the reasons this happens is because a liberal arts education develops “soft skills” – like initiative, communication, and leadership – that employers need more than technical skills.
An admission officer from one of the top-ranked liberal arts schools in the will be joining us LIVE to discuss what makes a liberal arts education different, and how to stand out in the admissions process. We are thrilled to welcome Tina Brooks, Associate Director of Admissions at Pomona College at our free LIVE Session “The Value of A Liberal Arts Education” this Thurs, September 3, at 6pm.

With over 4,700 degree-granting colleges and universities in the US, helping your child find the “best fit” can be an overwhelming challenge. It’s easy to get caught up in the hype about a handful of colleges. But your child is an individual with special talents and strengths. You want to be sure the school matches your child’s unique qualities.
Understanding a college’s personality — who they really are, what they value, what kind of students do well on their campus — is extremely valuable when compiling a college list. As part of our individualized work with students and families, I scour the country to find the best fit colleges; UC’s, liberal arts colleges, STEM-focused schools, and arts-focused schools, and many more for our students.
If you work with us, I will learn about what makes your child unique, and I’ll find lots of college possibilities to consider. We offer families comprehensive services to help identify the best fit colleges for our student’s lists. Let’s talk about your child’s college planning needs.
