It’s a big moment in any relationship: when you tell someone you really like them.
It’s a big moment in college admissions, too. While it doesn’t happen with everyone, there can be a magical moment—during a college visit, developing a college list, or just an epiphany while scrolling TikTok—that there’s one college you’re really vibing with.
And just like in relationships, there are ways to tell a college you’re into them. And it helps to understand colleges “love languages”—the things that communicate to them that they’re liked and loved.
This is what our next Live with Colledge session on Sunday, July 10, at 6 p.m. is all about—how to “demonstrate interest” in college admissions. To learn more about “DI,” Colledge’s own Kelsey Torosyan will speak with Brittany Slaughter, Director of Regional Admissions from Elon University, who will talk through
- how DI factors into admissions decision-making,
- how you can find out if a college uses DI in its admissions analysis
- why and how colleges use DI
- what you can do to speak a university’s love language
- when NOT to demonstrate interest
