The demand for Colledge’s services has inspired us to move toward developing a technology-based, AI-driven, for-the-masses admissions guidance solution we call ColledgeNEXT. We are an innovative, idea-stage startup operating at the intersection of cutting-edge generative AI and the dynamic field of EdTech. Led by a seasoned founder with 20+ years of experience in the college admissions sector, we are on a mission to reshape the landscape of admissions through groundbreaking AI-driven solutions.
Job Description:
Fractional CMO that will help both ColledgeNext and Colledge with the overall marketing strategy and marketing execution.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Fractional CMO, you will play a pivotal role in creating tandem marketing strategies for our existing one-on-one counseling business and our nascent tech startup effort. Your responsibilities will include:
- Marketing Strategy: Develop a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with our dual-purpose mission and vision while maximizing our limited budget.
- Brand Building: Craft and execute a brand-building strategy that establishes us as a thought leader in the college counseling field and the EdTech/AI space. This involves content marketing and social media.
- Product Launch: Prepare for a successful tech-based product launch by creating a go-to-market strategy, including pricing, positioning, and messaging.
- Lead Generation: Implement lead generation campaigns to build a strong pipeline of potential customers for our existing counseling service and tech startup effort.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts and make data-driven adjustments to improve ROI.
- Team Building: If necessary, assemble and manage a small team of marketing professionals, freelancers, or agencies to execute marketing initiatives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies for early-stage startups and small businesses.
- Strong knowledge of the latest marketing tools, trends, and techniques.
- Experience working with limited budgets and a knack for resourceful marketing.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
- Creative and innovative thinking.
- Experience in the College Admissions/EdTech space
- Experience in Marketing Operations, including migration knowledge from Monday to Hubspot and Mailchimp email
- Strong copywriting expertise for marketing communications, advertising, digital marketing initiatives, and sales presentations.
