Emily Hayhurst

Through Emily’s many years of experience in higher education as an advisor, program coordinator, and mentor, she has acquired a deep love for working with students. Her engaging and collaborative approach to student work is rooted in extensive training in student development, college writing, and storytelling. She believes each student has a unique and invaluable perspective to share– and she is passionate about helping that individual voice come to life on the page in her role as a Colledge Essay Specialist! Outside of work hours, Emily enjoys cooking, walking, diving into a good TV series, and spending time with loved ones (especially animals).

Emily holds an M.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.A. in Communication from Allegheny College.
