No, these percentages don’t describe the likelihood of winning the lottery or being hit by lightning in different parts of the country under specific weather conditions. These statistics are far more relevant – they are the current rates at which three of the most renowned universities (Harvard, Princeton & Columbia, respectively) in the country offer applicants admission to their school.
